👧Dr.Nozomi Sasaki .M.D.

Thank you for visiting our website. My name is Dr. Nozomi Sasaki. I am an English-speaking OBGYN and a part time attending physician at this clinic.

I am a licensed medical doctor in Japan specializing in general obstetrics and gynecology. My background includes clinical rotations across various subspecialties, including gynecologic oncology, maternal-fetal medicine, female endocrinology, and reproductive medicine. With over 11 years of experience in the field, I have worked in a wide range of settings: university hospitals (cancer centers), maternal and neonatal perinatal centers, major regional medical centers, and private clinics. This diverse background has equipped me with extensive experience in both primary care and advanced medical treatments.

Additionally, I completed a fellowship program at the U.S. Naval Hospital in Yokosuka (Class of 2019–2020). While working at a core medical center in Yokosuka, I managed many patient transfers from the U.S. Naval Hospital. These experiences sparked a strong desire to learn about medicine from a Western perspective. I gained valuable insights into the differences in medical approaches, healthcare systems, cultural nuances, and patient expectations. This journey ultimately led me to serve on the primary care medical team for international patients during the Tokyo 2020 Olympics.

Throughout my career at various clinics, I have become aware that some medical facilities unfortunately turn away non-Japanese-speaking patients due to concerns about miscommunication or the extra time required for interpretation. It deeply saddens me to see these barriers in healthcare. Having personally experienced language struggles while living overseas, I understand how daunting it can be to seek medical care in a foreign country. That is why I am so passionate about supporting those facing similar challenges here in Japan. While I am not a native English speaker, I am fully committed to doing my absolute best to provide you with the care and support you need. Please do not hesitate to reach out and consult with me.
